Job Summary
We are seeking to fill one (1) Project Coordinator Support position for our Sokoto Noma & Emergency Response Project.
Main Objective of the position
Providing support to the Project Coordinator in the security management and the coordination tasks, ensuring a smooth relation with local and national authorities and contributing to the context analysis and follow-up according to MSF protocols, standards and procedures in order to ensure the smooth running of the project.
General Accountabilities
Represent MSF externally with the Project Coordinator or independently, promoting MSF's image and negotiating key issues.
Monitor, analyze, and report on security, risks, and contextual information to support decision-making.
Assist in exploratory missions, security planning, and internal/external communication sessions with staff, authorities, and local actors.
Maintain and update field contacts and correspondence with NGOs, UN agencies, and local authorities to ensure accurate information flow.
Assist with drafting communications, translating documents, and conducting security and context briefings for staff.
Organize advocacy contacts and appointments for the Project Coordinator, ensuring continuous relations with key stakeholders.
Provide support for security trainings and briefings to staff and project teams, promoting MSF’s security management and humanitarian values.
Requirements

Education:
University Diploma Level, preferably in the field of Social Sciences (Political Sciences, International Public Law, Anthropology, Economics, etc.)
Experience:
Essential: Experience in and exposure of working in a complicated political, security and humanitarian environment, data collection, reporting and analysis.
Desirable two years previous experience in similar jobs in the field of humanitarian aid with MSF or other NGOs
High level of knowledge of local culture and customs.
Competencies:
Results and quality orientation, teamwork and cooperation, behavioural flexibility, commitment to MSF principles and stress management.
