Job Title: Nurse

Job Purpose
Provide nursing care, treatment, and follow-up for children with severe malnutrition based on MSF TFP (ITFC/ATFC/SFP) protocols, universal hygiene standards, and other relevant procedures, to ensure effective care delivery and improve their nutritional conditions.
Responsibilities
Follow hygiene, security, and nursing protocols for child nutrition care.
Manage daily admissions, food needs, and triage of patients.
Provide medical and nutritional care, track patient progress, and report emergencies.
Conduct clinical exams, update records, and administer vaccinations.
Educate families on treatment and monitor inventory of supplies.
Perform administrative tasks and ensure equipment maintenance.
Adhere to universal hygiene standards and nursing protocols for child nutrition care.
Manage daily admissions, food requirements, and patient attendance for the Therapeutic Program.
Triage patients, provide first aid, and refer acute cases to the doctor when necessary.
Perform patient admissions, including weighing, measuring, identifying malnutrition types, and updating records.
Deliver medical and nutritional care, monitor patient progress, and inform doctors of emergencies.
Conduct clinical exams, provide vaccinations, and maintain nutritional surveillance forms and patient records.
Support health promotion by educating families on hospitalization, treatment, and health matters.
Manage pharmacy, food, and medical equipment inventories, ensuring proper storage and quality.
Complete administrative tasks, including patient files, statistics, and reporting issues.
Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of biomedical equipment, reporting malfunctions as needed.
Requirements
Registered Nurse (Diploma in Nursing) with nutritional training.
Previous experience required in same position with MSF or other NGO’s and /or in developing countries desirable.
Languages:
Local language essential (Hausa). Mission language desirable.
Knowledge:
Desirable computer literacy (word, excel)
Competencies:
People Management, Commitment to MSF principles, Teamwork and result oriented.
