Job Description
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer and Video Editor to enhance our storytelling and visual presence.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing:
Edit recordings of virtual sessions (e.g., workshops, panel discussions) into polished, engaging videos for social media, YouTube, and newsletters.
Create short, captivating video highlights and trailers for promotions.
Incorporate Inspire Her Afrika’s themes, branding, and messaging into all video content.
Ensure high-quality sound, visuals, and transitions to maintain professionalism.
Graphic Design:
Develop visually appealing and on-brand graphics for social media posts, event promotions, newsletters, and program updates.
Design banners, posters, and flyers that align with Inspire Her Afrika’s mission and style.
Assist in creating templates for consistent visuals across platforms (social media, presentations, reports).
Creative Content Production:
Collaborate with the communications team to brainstorm and create multimedia content that tells powerful stories about our participants, events, and initiatives.
Develop animated visuals, if necessary, for campaigns and events.
Repurpose video and graphic content for various platforms, ensuring adaptability to audience needs.
Media Asset Management:
Organize and maintain a library of video footage, graphics, and design assets for easy access and reuse.
Archive completed videos and designs for documentation purposes
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's Degree with relevant experience.
Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva or similar).
Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or similar).
Strong storytelling abilities to create engaging visuals and videos.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Creative mindset with an understanding of branding and design aesthetics.
Ability to take feedback and adapt work to align with organizational needs.
Bonus: Experience in motion graphics or basic animation skills.
