Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Margarine Sales

Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager with a strong background in margarine sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, managing key accounts, and leading a sales team to achieve revenue and market share objectives.
This role requires in-depth knowledge of the margarine industry, including distribution channels, the competitive landscape, and customer needs in both retail and foodservice sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve volume, revenue, and profitability targets within the assigned territory.
Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in retail, wholesale, and HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, and Cafes) channels.
Monitor competitor activities and market trends to adapt strategies accordingly.
Team Leadership & Development:
Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives to ensure high performance.
Set clear goals and provide regular coaching, feedback, and motivation to the team.
Conduct periodic performance evaluations and recommend developmental initiatives.
Key Account Management:
Build and nurture strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts in the margarine industry.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and promotional activities to maximize sales and profitability.
Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and queries.
Operational Management:
Plan and execute sales forecasts, budgets, and demand planning to ensure optimal stock availability.
Monitor credit limits and collection processes to maintain healthy cash flow.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and quality standards.
Reporting & Analysis:
Analyze sales performance data to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
Prepare and present periodic sales reports and market insights to senior management.
Track ROI on marketing and promotional activities.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
Proven experience (5+ years) in margarine sales, preferably within the FMCG industry.
Strong understanding of the margarine market, including distribution networks and customer requirements.
Excellent leadership and people management skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire and drive teams.
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in using sales data and CRM tools to drive decision-making.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
