Job Title: Programme Assistant, Advancing Implementation of Non-Custodial Solutions

Summary
We are seeking to hire an enthusiastic individual to join our team as Programme Assistant for the AI-NCS project.
The Programme Assistants would support the implementation and coordination of non-custodial measures in their assigned states.
They will engage with local partners, assist with training programs, facilitate stakeholder engagements, and provide logistical and operational support to ensure the smooth implementation of the AI-NCS project.
Key Responsibilities
Organize and facilitate capacity-building sessions for correctional officers, parole board members, and judicial personnel on non-custodial solutions.
Support the training and retraining of correctional service personnel and provide targeted support to address logistical and operational challenges.
Monitor the provision of starter packs and tools for offenders to support rehabilitation and reintegration.
Coordinate community sensitization programs and awareness-raising activities on non-custodial measures, including printing and distributing IEC materials.
Engage with local CSO networks to promote knowledge-sharing, peer learning, and collaborative monitoring of non-custodial measures.
Support the development and implementation of data collection tools and ensure timely reporting on non-custodial measures.
Assist with monitoring visits, evaluations (baseline, mid-term, end-line), and the collection of human impact stories related to the project.
Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Project Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in law, or other Social Sciences or a related field.
3+ years of experience in project coordination, monitoring, or advocacy in the justice sector.
Experience working on donor-funded projects, with a solid understanding of donor reporting requirements.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of non-custodial measures (e.g probation, parole, restorative justice, community service)
Proficiency in Microsoft suites and other data management software (such as Excel, SPSS, or Power BI).
Report writing and documentation skills for monitoring, evaluation and donor reporting.
Communication and Collaboration:
Strong verbal and written communication skills including report writing and presentation skills.
Ability to engage with stakeholders (government, civil society, law enforcement, judiciary, correctional centers and donors)
Ability to develop and deliver presentations, advocacy briefs and training materials
Analytical Skills:
Good analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex data and generate actionable insights.
Problem-solving abilities to address challenges in project implementation.
Ability to develop and manage impact indicators and performance metrics.
Other Requirements:
Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with vulnerable populations.
Adaptability and problem-solving skills to respond to changing Programme needs and challenges.
Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 / month.
