Job Title: Operations Coordinator (Male)

Location: Isolo, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Schedule: Monday to Saturday 7am to 3pm shift and 2pm to 9pm shift

Job Description

• We are seeking a dedicated and proactiveOperations Coordinator(Male) to support and oversee key operational processes in ourFood and Logistics Company.
• The Operations Coordinator will play a critical role in coordinating daily activities, managing resources, and ensuring efficient workflows across terminal operations.
• This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and interpersonal skills to ensure timely execution of tasks while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating daily operations, including the loading, unloading, and movement of cargo (air and sea).
• Monitor compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all operations.
• Support the supervision and management of terminal staff, ensuring clear communication of tasks and expectations.
• Liaise with shipping lines, logistics providers, and stakeholders to maintain smooth cargo handling.
• Track operational activities and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and minimize delays.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Inspect equipment and facilities regularly to ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.
• Respond to operational issues and emergencies swiftly, minimizing disruption.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports on operational activities and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with senior management on strategies to improve operational processes and outcomes.

Requirements

• 2-5years in logistics, shipping, terminal operations, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications in logistics/shipping are an advantage.
• Minimum of 2ndclass lower
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective coordination with teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Google Suite is an advantage.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
