Job Overview

• We are seeking a talented and creative 3D Character Artist/Animator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for designing and bringing characters to life through captivating 3D modeling and animation.
• You will work closely with our design, art, and development teams to create high-quality assets that align with the project’s creative vision.

Key Responsibilities
3D Character Modeling:

• Create detailed, high-quality 3D character models from concept art or briefs, ensuring they meet artistic and technical standards.
• Sculpt and texture characters with an emphasis on anatomy, proportions, and expressiveness.

Rigging and Animation:

• Rig characters for animation, ensuring flexibility and ease of movement for various scenes.
• Develop realistic or stylized animations, including character movements, facial expressions, and actions, based on project needs.

Collaborative Workflow:

• Work closely with concept artists, designers, and developers to ensure alignment with the project’s goals.
• Implement feedback to refine assets and animations for optimal performance in the intended platform (games, film, AR/VR, etc.).

Optimization and Integration:

• Optimize character assets for performance while maintaining quality.
• Integrate assets into the development pipeline, ensuring compatibility with rendering engines or animation software (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, Maya, Blender).

Problem-Solving:

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to character creation and animation.
• Experiment with tools, techniques, and workflows to improve efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in 3D character modeling and animation (Portfolio/Showreel required).
• Proficiency in industry-standard tools like Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of rigging and animation principles, including weight painting, IK/FK systems, and character physics.
• Experience working with game engines (Unity/Unreal Engine) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, proportions, and movement.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and collaborative team player.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in facial rigging and lip-sync animation.
• Knowledge of motion capture workflows.
• Ability to work on multiple styles (realistic, cartoony, stylized).
• Familiarity with AR/VR or interactive 3D experiences.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, MEL, or similar) is an advantage.
