Ike Foundation for Autism (IFA) is a non-profit and Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to serving all persons living with Autism in Africa and supporting them to live productive and fulfilling lives, irrespective of age, race, religion, sexual orientation, income levels or gender. IFA was established in 2008. It is registered in Nigeria and Maryland, USA respectively. Since its inception, IFA has evolved as an important Autism voice in Africa. It collaborates with local, African, and international NGOs to promote Autism awareness and advocacy across Africa. IFA has forged strategic partnerships with a number of other Autism NGOs in West Africa and plans to build such partnerships across all the sub-regions of Africa.

Job Description
We are looking for skilled Animators to bring the characters and world of our series to life. As an animator, you will work closely with the creative team to produce high-quality animations that capture the heart and message of the series. You’ll be responsible for animating characters, backgrounds, and scenes, ensuring fluid movement and engaging visuals.
Responsibilities
Animate scenes and characters for episodes (7-15 minutes each).
Work from storyboards and collaborate with the storyboard artists and Creative Director.
Ensure animations are on-brand, consistent, and visually compelling.
Adhere to the project timeline and deliver completed animations on schedule.
Requirements
Proven experience as an animator (2D or 3D).
Expertise in animation software such as Maya, Blender, Toon Boom, Vyond, Adobe Animate etc.
Strong understanding of character movement, timing, and design.
Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
Alternative: Diploma or certification in Animation or Motion Graphics from a recognized institution; demonstrated portfolio or reel showcasing professional or academic animation work; or proof of experience.
Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in 2D and/or 3D animation, preferably in children’s content, television, educational, or digital media.
Experience working on animated series, short films, or commercial projects is highly desirable.
Proven expertise in working with animation software such as Toon Boom, Adobe Animate, Maya, Blender, or other industry-standard tools.
Relevant Competencies:
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of animation principles (timing, squash and stretch, anticipation, etc.).
Proficiency in rigging, keyframing, and motion graphics.
Ability to create both character animations and environmental sequences.
Experience in storyboarding and animatics is a plus.
Artistic Abilities:
A keen eye for detail, including movement dynamics, character design, and visual storytelling.
Strong sense of composition, color theory, and visual style consistency.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to troubleshoot animation issues, optimize workflows, and ensure smooth scene transitions.
Collaboration and Communication:
Strong communication skills to work effectively with Creative Directors, Storyboard Artists, and Editors.
Ability to incorporate feedback and make revisions promptly.
Experience working in cross-functional teams and adhering to production schedules.
Project Management:
Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines.
Capability to balance multiple tasks or projects within the scope of a production timeline.
