Job Title: Water Production Supervisor

Job Summary
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the water production process. This includes ensuring production targets are met, maintaining safety standards, managing a team of operators and technicians, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards are upheld.
The successful candidate will be a key leader in maintaining the integrity of the production process, while ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff on the water production line.
Ensure all team members are properly trained and adhere to company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Manage the shift schedules, timekeeping, and absenteeism to ensure efficient production flow.
Monitor production processes and operations to ensure production goals and customer requirements are met.
Ensure that production lines are operating efficiently, with minimal downtime.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to avoid delays and inefficiencies.
Maintain and review production logs, ensuring accurate reporting and data collection.
Ensure that the manufactured products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Perform regular inspections and audits to maintain high-quality production.
Adhere to and enforce safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements within the production area.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address any non-conformities or quality issues.
Enforce all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment and reduce workplace accidents.
Conduct regular safety meetings, training, and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Monitor equipment and facility condition to prevent risks and improve operational safety.
Ensure that all waste disposal, water treatment, and environmental management procedures are followed, especially in water production facilities.
Continuously identify areas for improvement in production processes, leading initiatives for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency.
Utilize Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Work with engineering and maintenance teams to implement improvements and minimize downtime.
Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, chemicals (for water production), and finished products, ensuring the timely availability of materials for production.
Work with the procurement department to maintain stock levels and manage material shortages or overages.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, or monthly production reports to the Production Manager or Plant Manager.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, quality checks, and employee performance.
Ensure adherence to all documentation requirements for compliance with regulatory authorities.
Identify training needs and coordinate the development of the team members to enhance their technical skills and competencies.
Lead performance reviews, address performance issues, and provide feedback to improve employee productivity and engagement.
Requirements and Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
Relevant certifications in water treatment or manufacturing operations are a plus.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in manufacturing or water production operations.
Proven experience managing production teams and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Experience in water treatment or chemical production processes is highly preferred.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong understanding of production processes and equipment maintenance.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for water production or manufacturing.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work in varying temperatures or environments.
Ability to lift heavy equipment as needed for material handling or equipment maintenance.
Comfortable with working in a manufacturing or water treatment facility with potential exposure to chemicals, machinery, and other operational hazards.
