Job Title: Inspection Engineer

Job Purpose / Objective
Support the planning and execution of all approved shutdowns / turnaround (planned and unplanned) scope of work for the LNG Trains or other PMT shutdown and utilities (GTGs) to ensure delivery of Business Plan in terms of HSE, plant availability, integrity, and performance to guarantee delivery of committed LNG, LPG, and Condensates in a competitive manner
Main Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and execution of inspection scopes in Trains, and GTG shutdowns within approved Budgets, Durations, HSE and Quality targets for the shutdowns.
Work collaboratively with the MCI(PIQ) team Engineers (Team leads, Senior Engineers and Engineers) to develop shutdowns inspection work scopes for all trains, and GTGs as required in line with the Integrated Shutdowns Plan
Review of execution work packs, ITPs and method statement. Also, ensure the quality and quantity of work orders and packs issued by work preparers is in accordance with applicable procedures and best practices. Also, ensure work packs are review by the Assurance team SMEs.
Carry out all necessary safety critical functions as identified, assigned, and defined in the bowties to ensure that the effectiveness of the control barriers and recovery measures are maintained.
Implement shutdown inspection strategies and plans, based on data from previous inspections, Pacer JRs requests description with focus on critical areas for future inspection and prepares Inspection Work List(s) for shutdown of the specific equipment.
Execute inspection of safety relief valves (SRV), pressure vessels, etc. in line with, w-IMS schedules, Statutory Requirements if applicable, approved Procedures, DEP’s, etc. during shutdown
Coordinate execution of PIQ the repair advice in line with approved ITPs and ensure use of the right materials, procedures, and appropriate NDT techniques for assurance of equipment integrity during shutdowns.
Supervise the activities of specialist NDT personnel to ensure results accuracy and repeatability and compliance to Codes and Standards requirements.
For all Trains, and GTGs shutdowns, assist in compiling comprehensive inspection closeout reports, including all statistics, and review with the PIQ TA lead.
Ensure, together with the scheduling engineer, that the inspection scope task lists have been fully built into the integrated schedule.
Assure plant integrity by providing scope descriptions, vendor requirements, tools, and resource materials in accordance with Turnaround Management Process (TMP).
Raise JRs/SAP notification where required for correction action recommendations as captured in the TA closeout reports.
Requirements
A University Degree or Higher National Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials / Metallurgy,) with relevant inspection certifications (API 570, API510, ASNT, CSWIP etc.)
Experience:
7-10 years post-graduation experience, out of which at least 2 years should have been spent in a multidiscipline Discipline Maintenance and Inspection role in a reputable organization preferably an Oil & Gas company.
HSSE Critical Position (SCP)
This job function is categorized through the HEMP process as a Level-1 HSSE Critical Position and as such is subject to the competency compliance conditions.
