Job Title: BackEnd Developer

Location: Lekki, Lagos

About the Role

• We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team and play a key role in building and maintaining the server-side components of our web applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robust and scalable backend systems using Node.js, Express.js, and TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices
• Develop and maintain backend logic using Node.js and Express.js
• Work with databases (SQL and NoSQL) to store and retrieve data efficiently
• Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security of backend systems
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs
• Troubleshoot and debug server-side issues
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Stay up-to-date with the latest backend technologies and trends

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in backend development
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and TypeScript
• Experience with RESTful API design and development
• Solid understanding of database design and optimization
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with serverless architectures (Azure Functions)
• Knowledge of GraphQL
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with containerization (Docker)
• Contributions to open-source projects
