Job Title: Human Resource & Administration Officer
These strategic locations have allowed NRC greater reach from the north and south parts of the North-East and North Central region and allowed NRC to contribute to bridging the gap between humanitarian aid and development cooperation, including by focusing on equitable access to basic services and strengthening the rights of displaced people and returnees. In addition to the Country Office and the above-mentioned Area Offices, NRC has sub-office structures in Dikwa, Monguno, Biu, Mubi, Pulka, and Gwoza.

If you are those people, the Norwegian Refugee Council in Nigeria is looking for an enthusiastic, passionate Human Resource/Administration Officer Nigeria Yola to join our team in Area South, Adamawa State.
Role and Responsibilities
Generic responsibilities:
These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work and Development plan.
Implement delegated support function portfolio according to plan of action
Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
Ensure proper filing of documents
Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function
Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
Specific responsibilities
The HR/Admin Officer is expected to achieve the following during this contract period.
Ensure proper and systematic filing of all personnel files
Support the recruitment process by collecting applications, longlisting, scheduling examinations, and administering tests.
Support in communicating appointments, and communicating benefit information Maintaining a database of recruitments
induction of new staff, schedule briefing with relevant departments and assist in email address requests for new staff
Support in Issuing contracts for both casual workers and full-time workers
Support in Management of employee records on NRC People
Review personnel files to identify gaps, initiate corrective actions, and update the verification checklist.
Ensure that all HR files are compliant, and that each employee’s file is up to date.
Issuance of stock requests to the relevant department and updating and sharing the stock report on a monthly basis.
Ensure that office and guest house supplies are requested for and timely distributed
Tracking of NRC Tracking tools and ensure, timesheet, Payslip, Stock, Inventory, Leave etc. are signed and report on a monthly basis
Supervising the cleaner/cook
Monthly stock reporting and stock count of Items in the HR/Admin store
Preparation of ID cards and documentation of new staff
Leave administration.
Qualifications / Competencies
Generic professional competencies:
University Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Law or any Social Sciences related field.
Professional experience in HR management, administration, or finance
Previous experience in complex and unstable contexts
At least two years of experience in a similar position
Experience as a trainer
Strong command of Excel/Word software
Good knowledge of applicable labor laws
