Job Summary
The HR Manager will oversee and manage the HR operations within the oil and gas firm, ensuring the effective implementation of human resource policies and programs that align with the organization's goals.
With a strong focus on talent acquisition, learning & development, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, and organizational development, the HR Manager will lead a team in delivering exceptional HR services to meet the strategic needs of the business.
CoreResponsibilities
Lead the recruitment process for all roles, from entry-level to senior positions, ensuring timely sourcing, screening, and hiring of qualified candidates.
Collaborate with leadership teams to forecast workforce requirements and develop staffing strategies to meet current and future business needs.
Foster a positive working environment by promoting employee engagement programs and addressing workplace concerns.
Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations issues, ensuring a fair and consistent approach to conflict resolution.
Develop and implement performance management systems that align with organizational objectives and drive employee productivity and development.
Provide guidance and support in setting employee goals, conducting performance reviews, and implementing development plans.
Assess training needs and design development programs to enhance employee skills, ensuring alignment with both organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
Promote continuous learning and career growth opportunities for employees at all levels.
Manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness in the market and alignment with organizational goals.
Oversee salary reviews, bonuses, and other benefit-related initiatives, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and other relevant industry standards.
Maintain accurate HR records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures that are in compliance with the organization's values and the oil and gas industry standards.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives and drive organizational growth.
Lead change management efforts to adapt to industry trends, workforce dynamics, and business expansion initiatives.
Promote employee wellness programs and work closely with health and safety teams to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Act as a point of contact for health, safety, and environmental (HSE) concerns within the workforce.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources, or a related discipline. A master’s degree is an added advantage.
Professional certifications in related areas e.g. (CIPM, PHRI, CIPD,)
Minimum of (12) years cognate experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong understanding of labor laws, regulations, and industry standards, particularly within the oil
and gas sector.
Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and implement effective contingency plans for managing crises and unexpected events.
Experience with technology integration in HR and administrative functions.
Knowledge of cultural dynamics and ability to manage a diverse workforce.
Experience in strategies for enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction
