Key Responsibilities
Planning and Development:
Act as a strategic advisor to the Executive Director and Principal Assistant on all aspects of technology integration, ensuring technology supports the organization’s strategic goals and operational needs
Designing and implementing technology solutions, strategies, systems, and plans.
Develop and implement strategies for technology continuity, ensuring that all systems and data are maintained across generational changes within the organization to secure the long-term legacy
Participating in Mindscapes’ technology-related exhibit design.
Planning the effective transition of all processes to a digital space.
Working with HR to develop/adjust technology related policies.
Creating an annual comparative analysis of the previous year in comparison with the current year and proposing improvement plans.
Providing general and education specific advice to the organizations, ensuring that problems are dealt with at the earliest opportunity and act as a direct day to day contact with administrators.
Utilizing information and management systems to support the effective and efficient administration of the school in relation to events on the school calendar.
Prepared Environment:
Leading the acquisition and maintenance all the hardware and software necessary for the implementation of the organizations’ technology plans.
Leading the processes and procedures for setting up digital applications such as Transparent Classroom, Knowledge Base, eCamp, Microsoft 365, Bluesky and other digital-related platforms that the organizations use.
Participating in Mindscapes’ technology-related exhibit set-up.
Implementation:
Leading the smooth deployment and configuration of hardware and software solutions purchased by the organizations to employees.
Developing a technical manual for the technology department, outlining all the daily tasks performed by the department.
Maintaining the effective running of all technology-related platforms and resources.
Liaising with the organizations’ administrators to create and maintain brand books and ensuring brand consistency on all visibility platforms.
Maintaining information security throughout the organizations.
Providing technical support to the organizations’ employees, and training non-technical workers on the organizations’ information systems.
Working with HR to ensure compliance with the organizations’ technology-related policies and agreements, and intervening where breaches have occurred.
Develop and implement strategies for technology continuity, ensuring that all systems and data are maintained across generational changes within the organization to secure the long-term legacy.
Troubleshooting all technology to assess performance and efficiency.
Record Keeping:
Ensuring there is no loss of data on any of our digital platforms. Students, employees and client records are kept, stored, and accessible using the data platforms subscribed to by the organizations.
Maintaining all records of the activities in your job description as set out, to aid the sustainability of the role.
Archiving records of changes as they are made to the digital space.
Assessments and Reports:
Develop and oversee a comprehensive performance monitoring system that tracks the effectiveness, efficiency and measurable outcomes for all technology initiatives and resources. Ensure these systems are aligned with strategic objectives to facilitate informed decision-making.
Regularly evaluate the progress against organizational goals and strategic priorities. Prepare detailed reports for the Executive Director, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement. Provide recommendations based on data-driven insights to enhance organizational outcomes.
Ensure the systematic collection, review and analysis of sector information/performance indicators - to identify tactics, strategies, trends, new opportunities and challenges.
Community Building:
Establish and maintain effective relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders including teaching and non-teaching staff, and community representatives to promote and support the organizations’ vision, mission and activities.
Contribute to and encourage an environment where high quality is achieved and supported by quality delivery systems and business improvement.
Relating to the school community, the SAED recognizes and utilizes formal and informal networks and recognizes the role of key people.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
Proven experience with project management and team leadership.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
