Job Title: Backend Developer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Environment

• You will be joining our growing Nigeria team where software is being developed and supported.
• Full time hybrid job (please no side and freelance assignments).
• Working time 8 hrs daily of 5 days.
• We work as team with full transparency. It is important that you are a team player, to take initiative and be able to communicate throughout the day.
• You must be able to support existing solutions whilst working on new product initiatives.
• You need to communicate well and frequently with fluency in English.
• You must be able to write good documentation of your work.
• There are two (2) openings for back-end developer with PHP and Python experiences on different projects.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Laravel (PHP framework) and Django (Python framework)
• Strong knowledge of APIs (OpenAPI, Swagger).
• Strong knowledge of Unit/Integration testing and Test Automation
•  Strong knowledge of SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Strong knowledge of queuing messaging API and integration to other backend queuing system Redis, Amazon SQS, Beanstalkd
• Experience using web development tools: VSCode, Git, Maven
• Ability to manage multiple development environments (Dev, Test, Production)
• Lead the communication and work with Front-end (agree on interfaces and APIs).
• Basic understanding of front-end of frontend framework(s) is essential (JS/HTML5/CSS, etc).
• Nice to have and/or willing to learn: Beanstalkd, Redis, MongoDB, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ,
• Preferably a tech field graduate
• At least 2 years’ experience.
