Position Overview
The Sales Officer for a Cooking and Catering Service is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, attracting, and retaining clients.
This role focuses on promoting the company’s offerings, building strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Execution:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Identify potential clients, including corporate organizations, event planners, and individual customers.
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and trends.
Client Acquisition and Retention:
Generate leads through various channels, including networking, referrals, and cold calling.
Meet with prospective clients to present catering packages, menus, and pricing.
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Promotions and Marketing Support:
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and offers.
Attend events, expos, and fairs to represent and promote the business.
Provide input on marketing materials to ensure they align with client needs and company branding.
Order Coordination and Follow-Up:
Assist clients in selecting appropriate menus and services based on their event needs and budgets.
Ensure clear communication of client requirements to the operations team.
Follow up with clients post-event to gather feedback and secure future bookings.
Target Achievement and Reporting:
Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Prepare sales reports and forecasts, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
Provide management with regular updates on sales activities and client engagement.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the operations and kitchen teams to ensure client expectations are met.
Participate in team meetings to align on goals and share insights from client interactions.
Customer Service:
Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Ensure a seamless client experience from initial contact to post-event follow-up.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in sales, preferably in the food, hospitality, or event management industry.
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
A customer-focused attitude and ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
Knowledge of the catering and hospitality industry is an advantage.
Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 monthly.
