The Center for Advocacy, Transparency, and Accountability Initiative (CATAI) was established in 2018 as a registered NGO with Head Office in Maiduguri - Borno State, with offices across Yobe and Adamawa states. We have been visible in Borno Adamawa and Yobe states implementing projects in Education, Protection (Child /GBV), WaSH, Nutrition, Empowerment/Livelihood, Governance and Peace Building. Our approach is aligned with our mission to enhance service delivery and empower citizens through our Humanitarian, Development, and peace-building nexus (HDP).

Job Title: Education Liason Officer
Location: MMC, Borno

Position Reports to: Project Lead
Job Summary
The Liaison Officer will be responsible for supporting the Programme Coordinator and the programme field personnel in the effective implementation and management of the program budget, with the main focus on timely reporting on the mobilized resources to the donors and monitoring of the utilization of the program resources.
Responsibilities
The main duties include, but are not limited to:
Preparation of the information on program resources for the formulation of program work plans, budgets, and proposals on implementation arrangements;
Preparation of cost-sharing, trust fund agreements, and follow-up on contributions to the program budgets;
Preparation of the financial reports to the donors together with the focal points from the participating partner agencies;
Ensures correct compilation of POs, vouchers, contracts, etc. necessary for smooth and timely implementation of program activities;
Ensures collaboration with the Operations Unit in the delivery of the programmer’s financial and administrative commitments;
Act as a focal point for the update of the Atlas project management module (with a particular focus on monitoring settings and tools), pro-actively identify issues and delays and take action to address the issues;
Participation in the planning and preparation of program evaluations and audits;
Establishment of effective substantive and financial management system for the projects in the areas of recruitment, subcontracting, procurement, and training.
Takes a lead in preparation of the project's equipment acquisition ledger and organizes a physical annual check at the end of each calendar year.
Supports the work of the Project Board serving as a secretariat;
Perform any other duty assigned by CATAI.
Experience
At least 4 years of professional experience in the related sphere, extensive experience of project management and a demonstrated ability to manage complex technical assistance projects
Profound knowledge of the region’s socio-economic situation
