About the Role
The Product Manager for Nigeria will lead the product lifecycle of BURN’s cookstove categories, focusing on market growth and user-centric development.
This role entails identifying market opportunities, managing product development and localization, leading cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring product success across Nigeria.

Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth research on the demand for Wood cookstoves. Analyzing customer segments, competitor products, and market dynamics to inform product innovation and positioning.
Develop a detailed product roadmap tailored to the SAHEL region, aligning with BURN’s strategic goals and addressing the region’s unique consumer needs and energy landscape.
Evaluate BURN’s existing product offerings for suitability in the SAHEL region. Identify and implement necessary modifications to align with local preferences, cultural norms, and the purchasing power of diverse income segments.
Identify opportunities for new product innovations and manage the lifecycle from concept to market launch, ensuring compliance with local regulations and alignment with consumer preferences.
Continuously analyze customer feedback and product performance to drive iterative improvements, optimizing product features and functionality to better address evolving consumer needs in the SAHEL region.
Oversee product lifecycles, including end-of-life strategies to ensure sustainability and market relevance for products sold in the SAHEL region
Create detailed business cases for market entry, including financial projections, competitive analysis, and investment rationale.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for wood stoves, focusing on pricing, marketing, distribution, and partnerships.
Serving as a liaison between R&D, operations, and commercial business functions to ensure smooth product launches, market adoption, and operational integration.
Track industry trends, competitor activities and market development to identify growth opportunities and mitigate emerging risks across the SAHEL region.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, suppliers, and community partners to support successful product outcomes and gain deeper market insights.
Requirements
A Nigerian national currently residing in Nigeria.
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in physical product or marketing management, with a strong background in new product development and commercialization. Prior experience in consumer goods or energy products is preferred.
Education: An engineering or technical background is highly advantageous.
Skills:
Proven ability to collaborate across functions and manage complex projects.
Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and customer insights.
Effective communicator and relationship builder with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with Nigeria’s consumer and regulatory landscape is a strong plus.
