We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Business Developor and Capacity Building Facilitator
ARISE is seeking an experienced candidate with a strong background in leadership and practical expertise within nonprofit organizations.
In this dynamic role, you will play an instrumental part in strengthening our Board of Trustees (BOT) and enhancing our organization's capacities across various areas, including developing our strategic plan, creating a short-term roadmap for the Board of Trustees and managers, coaching, and improving social dialogue.
Your responsibilities will include guiding our Board of Trustees, and Executive Directors, in achieving greater impact by helping them make informed decisions and manage their work with efficiency and effectiveness.
Assignment Objective
The proposed capacity building and training aims to achieve the following:
Training by an External Service Provider:
Develop a comprehensive strategic plan with a clear short-term and actionable steps, timelines, and performance indicators.
Align the strategic plan with the organization’s vision, mission, and values, ensuring it addresses key operational and strategic priorities
Provide clarity on the roles and responsibilities of the Board of Trustees, Executive Director, and Management to avoid conflicts and foster healthy relationships.
Enhance the ability of the Board of Trustees to engage in open discussions and make better decisions.
Guide the Executive Director, and Board of Trustees in driving the organization’s strategic direction.
Boost organizational performance.
Build confidence within the Board of Trustees, and Executive Director to effectively deliver their respective mandates.
Strengthen partnerships with other stakeholders (staff and beneficiaries) to achieve high organizational performance.
Scope of Work
Design and deliver a -day workshop program for the Board of Trustees, and Executive Director.
Provide coaching for the Board of Trustees and Executive Director over a three-day period.
Designed a short-term strategic plan for ARISE
Travel and Work Arrangements:
The Services will be conducted in Maiduguri.
Required Qualifications and Experience
The applicant must have the following qualifications and experience:
Qualification: BA / B.Sc / HND
Experience: 4 years and above
A University Degree or equivalent qualification in a related field
Having master’s degree will be an advantage
Knowledge and understanding of Employers & Business Membership Organizations (EBMOs)
Documented experience in providing training and coaching
Knowledge and experience in governance issues
Excellent report-writing skills.
