As Area/Regional Sales & Marketing Officer - Abuja (North Central Region), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the Company's sales and marketing activities in your region.
You will manage the budget for the region to achieve deliverables.
You will develop the business in the region through effective management of HORECA, MOT, Distributors, Strategic Wholesalers and your sales team.
Responsibilities
Achieving Growth and Sales Target:
Oversee the sales activities within North-Central region to ensure that set targets are met and the business grows significantly.
Supervise Sales Teams by leading, directing and supporting them in achieving their targets.
Develop initiative to establish, sell, market and promote region’s brand specific.
Assign sales territories and quotas to sales teams and representatives judiciously as per territories strength and opportunities. `
Analyze sales records, customer accounts, and research new product opportunities.
Distributors and Outlets Enlistments & Management
Enlist and effectively manage HORECA, MOT, Distributors in assigned region through effective business development.
Keep an up-to-date outlet universe of his/her region to aid team enlistment.
Carry out effective implementation of his/her region Route to Market (RTM) coverage plan and brand building initiative.
Carry out cluster mapping of coverage in the region for your team.
Dedicate one hundred (100) percent of your time while fully overseeing the region’s business as assigned (no other businesses).
Customers Relationship Management:
Build Customers’ Relationships by establishing and maintaining positive relationships with each customer and other business partners in the region.
Establish and build positive relationships about the company’s offerings with customers.
Build an effective communication chain with customers.
Resolve/mitigate customers issues, challenges and eradicating conflicts.
Business Plan Development:
Work with the Sales Department in your region to create business plans and strategies for your assigned area/territory.
Carry out client Interaction by visiting existing and potential customers, explaining product features, and securing sales contracts.
Analyse your sales territories/region for business development and make necessary adjustments as needed.
Sales Forcasting:
Accurately predict the region’s future sales, which is critical for aligning inventory with anticipated demand, ensuring customer satisfaction and optimizing revenue.
Analyse market trends, historical sales data, and seasonal influences to make informed decisions on stock levels and promotional strategies.
Conduct sales forecasts to determine financial objectives and target markets in the assigned Area/Region.
Budget Preparation:
Prepare and submit region’s annual budgets with detailed expenditure for approval.
Ensure that sales team under your region adhere strictly to this budget, company policies and procedures.
Performance Monitoring, Motivation and Coaching:
Monitor sales team performance and providing coaching as needed.
Review, approve and evaluate their daily calls/trade visits report.
Organize conference calls or zoom/google meet meetings with region’s sales team to discuss sales activities and make decisions.
Train and build capacity of the sales team under your region (where available).
Reporting:
Generate sales reports weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually from region’s sales team and make a timely report.
Present periodic reports on region’s sales operations to the Management.
Competition and Industry:
Monitor competitor activities within your region and inform the Management.
Provide weekly report on competition analysis.
Research on new competitive brands opportunities and inform the Management.
Requirements
B.Sc in Marketing or Business Administration.
Candidates must have 3-5 hand-on experience as a sales professional pereferably in a Wines and Spirits sector/Breweries/FMCG.
He/she must have the capacity to demonstrate sales improvement in a short period of time.
He/she must be a good communicator.
He/she must live in Abuja and familiar with Abuja environment.
