Job Title: Entry-level Operator
Location: Warri, Delta
Employment Type: Contract
Responsibilities
Collect, process, and analyze operational data from offshore production systems to monitor performance and identify trends.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to provide real-time insights into production operations.
Collaborate with offshore and onshore teams to ensure accurate and timely data collection from production equipment, systems, and personnel.
Identify and report inefficiencies in operations and recommend actionable improvements to optimize production performance.
Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and provide detailed reports to management for decision-making.
Assist in budget planning and forecasting by analyzing production costs and resource utilization.
Support compliance efforts by ensuring operational data meets regulatory and company standards for reporting.
Monitor and analyze downtime events to identify patterns and recommend measures to minimize unplanned shutdowns.
Provide insights to support strategic decision-making for deepwater production operations.
Assist in the implementation of new data management tools or technologies to enhance data collection and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications / Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Advanced certifications in data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Excel) or programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) are an advantage.
Offshore safety certification (e.g., BOSIET, HUET) is an added benefit.
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in data analysis, operations monitoring, or performance reporting, preferably in offshore oil and gas environments.
Familiarity with offshore production operations and performance metrics is preferred.
Data Analysis Skills:
Expertise in using data analysis tools like Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with programming languages like SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis.
Technical Knowledge:
Understanding of offshore production operations, including equipment performance, process workflows, and system monitoring.
Ability to interpret technical data and translate it into actionable insights.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify inefficiencies and propose operational improvements.
Communication Skills: Ability to prepare and deliver clear, concise reports and presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
Safety Awareness: Familiarity with offshore safety standards and the ability to work within a safety-conscious environment.
FPSO experience is required.
International experience in Nigeria, Africais a plus.
Experience working effectively in a multicultural team.
