Job Description

• As we scale our operations and expand our offerings, we’re seeking a dynamic Chief Operating and Technology Officer (COTO) to lead our efforts across content, technology, and operations.
• The COTO will be responsible for overseeing FreeFlix Plus’s content strategy, driving technological innovation, and ensuring operational excellence.
• This leader will ensure the platform delivers a world-class user experience by combining compelling content, scalable technology, and streamlined operations.
• The COTO will play a critical role in shaping FreeFlix Plus’s future, from curating a diverse and engaging content library to managing technical infrastructure and optimizing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy, including acquisition, curation, scheduling, and ensuring diverse genre representation to appeal to a broad global audience.
• Build and nurture relationships with content providers, negotiate licensing agreements, and manage a pipeline of high-quality titles.
• Oversee the platform’s technological infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and high uptime, delivering a seamless experience across all supported devices.
• Lead cross-departmental operations to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and ensure alignment with strategic business goals.
• Drive the development of the technical roadmap to support platform growth and user engagement, incorporating emerging technologies and trends.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to monitor and evaluate content performance, using data-driven insights to refine acquisition and scheduling strategies.
• Ensure the user experience remains a top priority, leveraging both content and technology to enhance accessibility, discoverability, and engagement.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in streaming, content distribution, and technology to maintain FreeFlix Plus’s competitive edge.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years experience in a senior leadership role within the media, streaming, or technology sectors, with expertise in content strategy and technology.
• Proven success in content acquisition, licensing negotiations, and building diverse content libraries that drive user engagement.
• Strong technical background, with knowledge of scalable streaming technologies, platform security, and operational infrastructure.
• Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, with a track record of managing cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals.
• Strategic thinking with a passion for innovation, problem-solving, and delivering outstanding user experiences.
• Strong negotiation skills and established relationships within the media and content industries are highly desirable.
