Team Leader - Empowering Survivors of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Sexual Harassment (ES-SEAH) Programme at Options Consultancy Services Limited

Posted on Thu 28th Nov, 2024 - hotnigerianjobs.com --- (0 comments)

Options Consultancy Services Limited was established in 1992 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Marie Stopes International. We are a consultancy organisation providing technical and management expertise in the health and social sectors to governments and international development partners to transform the health of women and children.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Team Leader - Empowering Survivors of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Sexual Harassment (ES-SEAH) Programme

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: fixed-term contract

The Position

  • Options is seeking a Team Leader for an anticipated programme focusing on ‘Empowering Survivors of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Sexual Harassment’ (ES-SEAH). The anticipated programme will aim to increase reporting of SEAH perpetrated by aid actors and strengthen survivor-centred responses.
  • Specifically, this component of the programme will engage Women’s Rights Organisations (WROs) alongside action research through a pilot to test what works in at least three different country contexts to support prevention and response to SEAH. Key priorities of the programme include:
    • Develop effective SEAH reporting mechanisms that are contextual and accessible.
    • Partner with WROs to receive and respond to SEAH reports.
    • Build the evidence base on ‘what works?’ for a survivor-centred approach, informed by survivors themselves.
    • Work closely with the UN on component 2 of the programme (which will focus on supporting UN efforts to prevent and respond to SEAH perpetrated by UN personnel).
  • The Team Leader will play a crucial role in providing inspirational, strategic, technical and managerial oversight to the programme implementation team, which comprises a consortium of partners. Specifically, the Team Leader will provide overall programme leadership and consortium management. They will provide high level technical leadership across the programme, ensuring the different parts of the programme are coordinated, delivered to a high quality, and on track to achieve intended results. They will be responsible for appropriate resourcing of technical expertise, course correction and adaptation. They will manage the core programme team to ensure oversight of both technical and operational aspects of the programme.
  • The Team Leader will be directly accountable for ensuring the successful delivery of the programme, ensuring that objectives and outcomes are achieved within designated timelines and budgets. Serving as the primary point of contact for engagement with FCDO and for key partners, beneficiaries and stakeholders, the Team Leader will cultivate strong relationships and facilitate effective communication and collaboration. Additionally, the role entails promoting knowledge exchange across Options’ programmes and nurturing relationships with current and potential clients, stakeholders and partners.

Requirements

  • We recruit talented, dynamic people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, who are focussed on delivering sustainable impact in the countries where we work.
  • We’re proud to be an equal opportunities employer and are committed to creating a fully inclusive workplace, where everyone feels able to participate and contribute meaningfully.
  • You must be open-minded, enthusiastic, solutions-oriented and committed to promoting equality across the organisation, and with those that we work with.

For this role, we’re looking for an individual who is:

  • Dynamic and creative with the ability to show initiative.
  • A team player, providing support and encouragement.
  • Organised and process oriented, with an attention to detail and able to prioritise workload.
  • Customer focused, responsive to changing priorities and demands.
  • Strong communication skills and a team player.
  • Ability to analyse complex problems in a structured manner whilst working under pressure.
  • Focused on delivery with a ‘can do’ approach.
  • Demonstrates Options’ team member behaviours and professional self-development.
  • A strong supporter of the cause of family planning and a woman’s right to safe abortion (pro-choice).
  • Commitment to equal opportunities.
  • A commitment to the programmes’ and Options’ principles of Safeguarding, Do No Harm, and to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health and rights.
  • Awareness and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Other Information:

  • Options is dedicated to equal opportunity for all and recognises that every individual is unique. Whilst we always seek to embrace individual differences and celebrate the diversity of our workforce, we also want to ensure that every team member is suited to their role and that they are given the best opportunity to succeed
  • Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and post holders to share this commitment.
  • We seek people who are pro-choice, promote diversity and inclusion, are energetic and enthusiastic about Options’ vision.
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the location in which they are based.

Benefits

  • Options offers a comprehensive benefits package including generous annual leave allowance, season ticket loan, cycle to work scheme and a performance related bonus scheme.
