Job Title: Basic Science Teacher

Location: Enugu
Employment Type: Full Time

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive Basic Science lessons that align with the school's curriculum and instructional guidelines.  
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, scientific inquiry, and hands-on exploration.  
• Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies, resources, and technology to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.  
• Regularly assess student progress through both formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to guide their scientific understanding and development.  
• Promote a strong foundation in basic scientific concepts, helping students appreciate the relevance of science in everyday life.  
• Implement practical experiments and activities that enhance students' understanding of scientific principles and encourage critical thinking.  
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and initiatives that connect scientific knowledge to real-world applications.  
• Stay updated with the latest developments in scientific research, educational practices, and technology to enhance classroom learning.  
• Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills and knowledge in the field of Basic Science education.  
• Establish strong relationships with students, parents, and guardians to promote open communication and a positive school-home partnership.

Requirements

• A practicing Christian, with a deep commitment to Christian values and principles.  
• Bachelor’s degree in Science Education, Basic Science, or a related field.  
• Teaching certification in Science Education or Basic Science.  
• Proven experience teaching Basic Science at the secondary school level.  
• Strong knowledge of fundamental scientific concepts across various branches of science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology).  
• Passion for teaching and inspiring students to develop an interest in science and scientific inquiry.  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.  
• Ability to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic growth and curiosity.  
• Proficiency in integrating technology and multimedia resources into science instruction.  
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest educational practices in science education.
