Job Title: Office Cleaner

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Admin Officer

Job Purpose

• The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the designated areas of the facility.
• The role involves cleaning, organizing, and ensuring that all areas are safe, presentable, and in accordance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Cleaning Duties:

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors across the building.
• Dust, wipe, and sanitize surfaces such as desks, countertops, and windowsills.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, ensuring the replenishment of soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste materials.
• Clean and maintain office kitchen and communal areas, including washing dishes and wiping down surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of carpets, upholstery, and other surfaces as required.

Maintenance of Cleaning Equipment:

• Ensure cleaning equipment is in good working condition and properly stored.
• Report any broken or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.

Health and Safety:

• Follow cleaning protocols to ensure the safety of the environment.
• Use cleaning products according to safety instructions.
• Report any hazards or safety issues to the supervisor.

Additional Tasks:

• Perform periodic deep cleaning (e.g., cleaning windows, carpets, high-touch surfaces).
• Assist with special cleaning requests or projects as needed.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

• FSLC / OND / SSCE qualification with 0 - 1 year experience.
• Previous cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and materials.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift cleaning materials or equipment.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
