Role Summary
We are looking for an accomplished Engineering Manager to take on the challenging role of General Manager. Based in Ikoyi, Lagos, this position is pivotal in overseeing large-scale, complex construction projects from inception to completion.
As General Manager, you will spearhead strategic initiatives, foster cross-functional collaboration, and ensure seamless project execution that aligns with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Define and implement processes, strategies, and policies to ensure the efficient management of high-rise construction projects.

Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and lead a diverse team of engineers, contractors, and project managers to achieve excellence.

Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or mechanical engineering (required).
An MBA in Construction or Project Management (preferred).
Professional Experience:
A minimum of 15 years of experience in high-rise building construction, with the last 5 years in a senior management role.
Certifications:
Membership with COREN or an equivalent professional engineering body is mandatory.
Technical Competencies:
Deep understanding of construction operations, advanced mathematical skills, and proficiency in relevant project management tools.
Familiarity with advanced construction technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), drone applications, and IoT-enabled devices for construction management.
Knowledge of green building practices, including LEED certification, net-zero design principles, and renewable energy integration.
Expertise in modern project management techniques, such as agile construction methods, predictive analytics, and cost engineering tools.
Strong understanding of data analytics and the use of AI tools to optimize project performance.
Leadership and Organizational Skills:
Exceptional ability to manage budgets, teams, and schedules while keeping an eye on details.
Ability to manage cross-functional teams, with a focus on change management and emotional intelligence.
Communication and Problem-Solving:
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills to tackle complex challenges and foster a collaborative environment.
