Job Title: Chief Security Officer (CSO)

Role Summary
As Chief Security Officer, the candidate will play a pivotal role in providing strategic oversight to security operations at all our sites spread across the length and breadth of Nigeria.
This involves taking charge of security initiatives, guiding all security strategy, and exercising supervision over the Security Services.
Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for conducting meticulous security risk assessments and instituting policies to safeguard against asset loss and fraudulent activities.
Key Responsibilties
Design and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols to mitigate risks and maintain a secure environment.
Develop and implement a comprehensive security framework to protect the company's assets and infrastructure.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess risks, identify vulnerabilities and devise preventive measures.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies and industry associations.
Lead security awareness programs and training initiatives to educate employees about best practices and potential threats.
Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in and around the warehouse and ensure remedial health is in compliance with relevant regulations.
Work alongside the IT support to implement and manage security technologies.
Monitor security systems and networks for potential threats as well as oversee the management of physical security measures. These include access controls, CCTV systems, and security personnel.
Promptly investigating and mitigating every security incidence that is reported.
Develop and maintain incidence reports, response plans and ensuring timely and effective responses to security breaches.
Manage records, documentation and reporting to demonstrate compliance and facilitate audits.
Stay updated with the latest security trends, technologies, and regulatory changes, ensuring continuous improvement of the security function.
Develop and maintain relationships with local police divisions within Nigeria.
Ensure the organization is compliant with applicable security-related laws, regulations and standards in Nigeria.
Foster strong relationships with local law enforcement, military, and government agencies to enhance overall security measures.
Develop and oversee emergency response plans, ensuring the organization's preparedness for crises.
Establish and maintain intelligence networks to stay informed about potential security threats and changes in the operating environment.
Integrate advanced security technologies to enhance surveillance, monitoring, and response capabilities.
Ensure compliance with national and international security regulations, guiding necessary adjustments.
Establish a robust incident reporting system and conduct post-incident analyses to continuously improve security measures.
Requirements
Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any relevant field with a minimum of fifteen (15) years cognate working experience in the security sector
Must have attained at least the rank of a Major in the Army, or its equivalent.
Attendance and exposure to vast training and possession of relevant experience in the Intelligence or Crime Management unit will be an added advantage.
Must be capable of maintaining and developing security policing arrangements for both day and night shifts. Investigate and monitor incidents which includes conducting investigations, looking into root cause analysis and develop corrective actions.
In-depth knowledge of security protocols, risk assessment, and emergency response planning.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Familiarity with local and national security regulations.
