We seek an efficient and skilled Bid /Tender & Document Control Analyst to join our team at African Star Energy Services Ltd
He/she will lead the bid process, from opportunity identification to proposal submission. This includes ensuring the timely submission of high-quality proposals that meet client requirements, managing the bid budget and resources effectively and establishing compliance with all requirements and guidelines. The bid manager will also uphold an understanding of market trends and competitor activity to inform bid strategy.

Responsibilities
The Bid Analyst is responsible for researching, analyzing, and preparing bids for company products and services.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities through market research and client need assessment.
Lead and coordinate the bid management process.
Develop compelling and persuasive bid content, including executive summaries, value propositions, pricing models and technical responses.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as sales, operations and subject matter experts, to gather information and develop bid strategies.
Coordinate and facilitate bid review meetings.
Work with relevant departments to develop competitive pricing strategies that align with bid requirements and profitability targets.
Continuously refine and improve bid processes, templates and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay updated on industry trends, market insights and emerging best practices in bid management.
Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements regarding document handling and retention.
Implement access control measures to protect sensitive and confidential information.
Collaborate with other departments to refine document control procedures and improve document handling practices.
Education / Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Bachelor’s in engineering is an added advantage
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Bid & Tender Analyst in the oil and gas sector is a must
Proficiency in using bid management software, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint Corel Draw).
Being well acquainted with the oil and gas market, contract laws, regulations and registration portals such as Ariba, NIPEX, NCDMB, NUPRC & NMDPRC
Experience in managing bids for complex projects or large-scale contracts in the oil & gas industry.
Experience with e-procurement systems
Experience with sourcing exercises, particularly in public procurement
MCIPS qualification.
Required Skills:
Demonstrated success in winning bids through effective proposal management.
Strong understanding of the bid lifecycle, proposal writing, development and contract negotiation.
Attention to detail and high accuracy in bid preparation and review.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels.
Understanding pricing strategies and financial analysis in bid development.
Ability to create visually appealing and engaging bid presentations.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess bid opportunities and develop winning strategies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
