Job Title: Business Analyst

Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect, analyze, and interpret production, sales, and financial data to identify trends and performance metrics.
Generate comprehensive reports to aid decision-making for management.
Process Improvement:
Evaluate existing manufacturing and business processes to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks.
Develop strategies to optimize operations, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
Stakeholder Communication:
Collaborate with management, production teams, and other departments to understand business requirements and align goals.
Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure mutual understanding of objectives.
Market and Competitor Analysis:
Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and industry developments to recommend adjustments in business strategies.
Assess potential risks and opportunities in the steel manufacturing market.
Project Management:
Lead or participate in projects to implement new technologies, systems, or processes within the company.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet desired outcomes.
Budgeting and Financial Analysis:
Support the finance department in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
Evaluate the financial impact of operational changes or strategic initiatives.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure business processes comply with industry regulations and standards.
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard company interests.
Requirements
Interested and qualified candidates should possess a Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Operations Management, Accounting or Finance, Supply Chain Management; for technical roles, degrees in fields like Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Data Science may also be preferred.
Master's Degree or MBA (Preferred/Optional): A Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or related fields can be advantageous for mid-to-senior-level roles, with specializations in areas like Operations Management, Data Analytics, or Supply Chain Management providing an edge.
Certifications (Optional but Beneficial): Industry-relevant certifications can enhance analytical and technical skills, such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma or Process Improvement Certification, Data Analytics Certifications (e.g., Google Data Analytics, Tableau, or Power BI), and SAP or ERP training related to steel manufacturing.
Skills:
Knowledge of steel production processes and terminology is often desirable.
Familiarity with technical and business software, such as ERP systems, data analytics tools, and statistical software.
Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 / month.
