Grace and Hope American Academy was founded in 2019 to provide an excellent education in Jos Nigeria. We provide an outstanding and innovative experience that is rooted in biblical truth. We provide education from Pre-K till 9th grade but will continue to expand in the near future.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of School / Principal

Location: Jos, Plateau
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the school’s vision, mission, and strategic plan to ensure holistic student development and academic excellence.
• Academic Excellence: Oversee curriculum implementation, teaching quality, and student performance while fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Student Welfare: Promote an inclusive, safe, and nurturing environment where every student can thrive and reach their potential.
• Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, local communities, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and support.
• Operational Management: Manage budgets, resources, and administrative functions to ensure the smooth operation of the school.

Key Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field (PhD preferred).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in educational leadership, with a proven track record of success as a principal, vice principal, or head of department.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum standards, teaching methodologies, and school operations.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and manage a diverse team of educators and staff.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment.
