Job Title: Project Finance Manager

Job Summary
The Project Finance Manager will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of an EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Management) project.
This role requires a highly skilled financial professional who can support the project team with financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and risk management.
The Project Finance Manager will ensure the project’s financial goals are met within the constraints of budget, schedule, and contractual requirements.
Develop and manage detailed project budgets, including capital and operating expenditures.
Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, cash flow projections, and cost tracking.
Ensure accurate financial estimates are aligned with project deliverables and milestones.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure that financial resources are allocated efficiently across the project lifecycle.
Cost Control & Analysis:
Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that the project remains within budget and any potential cost overruns are identified and mitigated.
Prepare and analyze financial reports to identify trends, variances, and performance indicators.
Work with project managers to implement corrective actions where necessary.
Ensure proper coding and classification of project costs for accurate tracking and reporting.
Contract Management & Risk Analysis:
Support the negotiation and administration of contracts related to the EPCM project, ensuring compliance with financial terms and conditions.
Identify and analyze financial risks associated with the project, including currency fluctuations, material costs, and market conditions.
Work closely with legal and procurement teams to assess and mitigate financial risks.
Ensure the project complies with applicable financial regulations and corporate policies.
Project Reporting & Communication:
Prepare regular financial reports for senior management, stakeholders, and clients, including progress on budget, costs, and financial health of the project.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to the project director and other decision-makers.
Lead financial reviews and audits, ensuring compliance with internal control processes and external regulations.
Cash Flow & Funding Management:
Monitor cash flow to ensure the timely availability of funds for project activities.
Support in securing project financing and managing the disbursement of funds, including loan agreements, bonds, or equity contributions.
Coordinate with banks or other financial institutions for project-specific funding arrangements.
Internal & External Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all financial matters relating to the EPCM project, interacting with internal teams (project management, engineering, procurement, etc.) and external stakeholders (contractors, suppliers, financial institutions, etc.).
Provide financial guidance and support for decision-making processes related to project design changes, scope adjustments, and procurement strategies.
Auditing & Compliance:
Ensure that all project financial records are accurate, complete, and compliant with company standards and legal regulations.
Coordinate with auditors to facilitate financial audits and ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and manage the project finance team, ensuring that financial processes are executed efficiently and in line with the project objectives.
Provide mentorship, training, and support to junior finance team members.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or ACCA preferred).
Minimum of 10-20 years of experience in financial management for EPCM or large-scale construction projects.
Strong understanding of EPCM project life cycles, financial processes, cost control, and contract management.
Experience with financial reporting, forecasting, and risk management within the engineering, procurement, and construction industry.
Proficiency in financial software tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other project management/financial software).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
In-depth knowledge of project financials, including cost estimation, billing, contract management, and financial compliance.
