Job Title: Project Manager

Job Summary
The Project Manager will oversee and manage the complete lifecycle of an EPCM project, from initiation through planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring that all phases of the project are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Manager will work closely with clients, engineers, procurement teams, and construction managers, ensuring the project progresses smoothly and adheres to industry standards.
Main Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination:
Lead the planning and development of the EPCM project scope, schedule, and budget.
Develop and manage detailed project execution plans, including deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
Define project objectives, risks, and opportunities, and establish a robust management plan.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align project requirements.
Budget and Cost Management:
Oversee cost estimation, forecasting, and budget management for the EPCM project.
Monitor and control project expenditures, ensuring the project remains within financial constraints.
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and mitigate budget overruns.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Manage, lead, and mentor cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines.
Foster collaboration among stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Ensure effective communication within the project team and with external stakeholders.
Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, including technical, financial, and schedule-related risks.
Establish and implement risk management plans and continuously monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Ensure the project meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Oversee quality control and quality assurance processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work.
Monitor performance metrics and establish corrective actions if necessary.
Progress Monitoring and Reporting:
Track project progress against milestones and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
Provide regular progress reports and updates to senior management, clients, and stakeholders.
Address issues and challenges promptly to maintain project momentum and resolve any obstacles.
Procurement and Vendor Management:
Oversee procurement activities, ensuring that all materials and services are sourced in accordance with project requirements and budget.
Manage vendor relationships and performance, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.
Promote a safety-first culture across all project teams and contractors.
Project Delivery and Close-out:
Ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.
Oversee project close-out activities, including handover to operations and ensuring all documentation is complete.
Conduct post-project evaluation to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement in future projects.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, AACE) is a plus.
Experience: Minimum 15-20 years of experience managing EPCM projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Deep understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Solid experience with budgeting, cost management, and contract management.
Knowledge of safety regulations and quality assurance practices in EPCM projects.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and make decisions under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in oil & gas.
Advanced knowledge of international codes, standards, and regulations.
Fluency in [language(s), if required].
Work Environment:
On-site and office-based, with periodic travel to construction sites or client locations as required.
Flexibility to work across different time zones when necessary.
