Job Summary
We seek to hire a Business Development manager to join our vibrant team and will work out of our office in Benin City.
As a result of operational expansion and business strategic repositioning, we are looking to Strengthen our workforce with qualified and experienced professionals who will assist with the attainment of the company's business growth objectives and articulating new business development opportunities in the upstream sector of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for active Client Relations Coordination and business development activities, lead business development initiatives that align with the company’s business growth objectives, and drive business performance by delivering business development excellence through an understanding of customer needs.
Job Responsibilities
Ensuring the company’s growth objectives are attained, articulating new business development opportunities, and identifying, negotiating, and managing relationships with technical partners in line with corporate goals.
Lead the formulation, execution, and monitoring of the company’s business development, market penetration strategies, and plans for enhancing business growth.
Develop and articulate a comprehensive tactical business development plan to accomplish the organization’s business goal.
Penetrating new clients & and developing close professional relations with key decision-makers and influencers in the Nigerian Upstream Oil and Gas Sector.
Manage day-to-day relationships with partners and clients and develop a deep understanding of their needs.
Gather new intelligence and provide updates on upcoming and ongoing key projects in the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry.
Identify immediate and long-term needs of clients for the company’s products and services on such projects.
Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
Develop technical and commercial knowledge of all our product offerings and services.
Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities and sales strategies to penetrate and get new accounts.
Monitor company performance against agreed business targets.
Identify and recommend appropriate technical assistance for key customers.
Prospect for and acquire new and financially viable high-volume customers.
Prepare and make effective product presentations to clients.
Assist in the preparation of bids/proposals and actively follow up on submitted tenders/proposals.
Meet possible prospects by increasing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
Close new sales.
Staying current on relevant technologies, fitting solutions to client needs, and keeping abreast of competitors.
Attend Oil and Gas functions, for example, association events and conferences to gain new networks and prospects.
Liaise between the company and key agencies in the industry such as NUPRC, NNPC (NUIMS, NEPL & Nipex), and NCDMB.
Ensure full payment for all supplies and services.
Demonstrate consistent business development success and target—driven achievements.
Minimum Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Engineering, Geology/Geophysics, Sales/Marketing, Business Admin, Economics, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 10 years of cognate experience in a similar position in the oil and gas sector with records of accomplishment.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suites (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Good working knowledge of the Nigerian Oil Industry (Upstream sector). Knowledge of well services, production solutions, integrated field studies, and engineering services will be an advantage.
An understanding of oilfield processes is required.
Proven client account management experience in the Upstream sector of Nigeria's Oil and Gas industry.
Competencies:

Excellent verbal, and written communication and presentation skills
Good knowledge of upcoming and ongoing key projects in the upstream sector of the Oil and Gas Sector.
Proven sales contacts in the Upstream sector of Nigeria's oil and gas industry

Proven experience working with minimum supervision.
