We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Regional Accountant

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the region.
• Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and report on regional budgets, ensuring cost control and alignment with company goals.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal financial policies and procedures.
• Audit Coordination: Manage and support internal and external audits, ensuring accurate records and timely submissions.
• Accounts Management: Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger functions for regional operations.
• Taxation: Handle tax planning, filings, and compliance for the region in collaboration with tax advisors.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the corporate finance team, regional managers, and other departments to support strategic decisions.
• Performance Tracking: Analyze financial performance metrics and provide actionable insights to improve profitability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional qualification (ICAN/ACCA.CPA or CMA)
• Proven experience of 3 - 5 years in accounting, preferably in a regional or multi-location role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
• High integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information.
