Job Title: Project / Tender Manager
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
The project manager oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within an organization. Their role includes defining project goals, creating timelines, allocating resources, and managing budgets to ensure successful project completion. The project manager will coordinate team members, communicate with stakeholders, monitor project progress, and mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:
Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, timeline, and resources.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project milestones and objectives are met.
Monitor project progress and performance, adapting plans as necessary to maintain project alignment with business goals.
Tender Management:
Manage the entire tender process, including proposal preparation and submission.
Analyze tender documents and understand client requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for bids.
Managed relationships with government contacts in terms of chasing tenders as well as feedback provision and contract progress management.
Detailed quantitative and qualitative research on preparation of bids and tenders.

Stakeholder Management:
Establish and maintain effective communication with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
Prepare and deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations to project stakeholders and executive leadership.
Risk and Issue Management:
Identify and assess potential risks and challenges; develop mitigation plans to minimize project disruptions.
Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company standards.
Financial Oversight:
Manage project budgets, monitor spending, and ensure financial targets are met.
Conduct cost-benefit analysis and implement cost-saving measures when necessary.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all project deliverables meet quality and regulatory standards.
Conduct regular inspections, audits, and reviews to maintain adherence to project specifications and quality requirements.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the oil and gas sector.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Strong experience in managing bids and tender
Familiarity with industry regulations, health, and safety standards.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction, and production operations in the oil and gas industry.
Soft Skills:
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects concurrently.
