Job Description
The Medical Sales Representative promotes and sells pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, hospitals, clinics, and other medical establishments.
The role requires building strong relationships with doctors, pharmacists, and healthcare providers, ensuring that they are informed about the benefits and uses of the company’s products, and ultimately driving sales growth within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
Product Promotion and Sales:
Promote the company’s pharmaceutical products, and healthcare solutions to doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, and clinics.
Achieve sales targets and contribute to the growth of the company’s market share in the designated territory.
Organize product presentations, demonstrations, and educational sessions for healthcare professionals.
Relationship Building:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare professionals, decision-makers, and stakeholders.
Build trust and rapport with customers to ensure long-term, mutually beneficial business relationships.
Regularly visit healthcare providers and follow up on leads to ensure continued product usage and customer satisfaction.
Market Research and Reporting:
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and opportunities within the healthcare sector.
Gather customer feedback and insights, providing valuable information to the sales and marketing teams for product development and strategy.
Prepare and submit regular sales reports, tracking sales progress and competitor activities.
Product Knowledge and Education:
Stay up-to-date with the latest product information, clinical studies, and industry trends to effectively present and sell products.
Provide educational materials and training to healthcare providers on the benefits, proper usage, and potential side effects of products.
Sales Support and Administration:
Coordinate with the marketing and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to product availability or usage.
Maintain accurate customer records, sales orders, and inventory data in CRM systems.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of [2] years of experience in pharmaceutical sales .
Strong knowledge of medical products, pharmaceutical regulations, and healthcare industry practices.
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence healthcare professionals.
Strong sales acumen, with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Proficiency in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
Ability to understand and explain technical product information in an accessible and persuasive manner.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in promoting and selling to hospitals, clinics, doctors, and pharmacies.
Certification in pharmaceutical sales or medical sales (e.g., Certification in Medical Sales from a recognized body).
Knowledge of the healthcare industry, including trends, challenges, and regulations in the local market.
Working Conditions:
Full-time role, with regular travel to client locations, hospitals, clinics, and healthcare establishments within the assigned territory.
Flexible working hours, including occasional evenings or weekends for presentations or events.
