Job Title: Facility Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking an organized and proactive Facility Officer to join our team at our new hospital in Port Harcourt.
The Facility Officer will oversee the maintenance and management of hospital facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect and maintain hospital buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal functionality.
Coordinate repairs, renovations, and upgrades as needed.
Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service providers for maintenance and repair work.
Ensure timely delivery of services and adherence to quality standards.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments.
Monitor and maintain an inventory of facility supplies and equipment.
Order and replenish supplies as necessary to prevent disruptions in operations.
Monitor the usage of utilities such as electricity, water, and gas, implementing energy-saving measures.
Ensure the uninterrupted functioning of critical systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and expenses.
Prepare periodic reports on facility operations and improvements.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure facility-related needs are met.
Respond promptly to facility-related inquiries or complaints.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in facility management, preferably in the healthcare sector.
Skills:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of building systems and maintenance processes.
Proficiency in using facility management software and tools.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with health and safety standards and regulations.
