We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Group Head of Operations with a strong background in technology and business management. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s global operations, ensuring efficiency and operational excellence across all business units.
You will work closely with executive leadership to align business strategies with operational goals while leveraging your technical expertise to implement innovative solutions and enhance operational processes.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operations management, a deep understanding of technology trends, and the ability to drive organizational growth through data-driven decision-making and process optimization.
Lead the development and execution of the company’s operational strategy, ensuring it aligns with overall business objectives and growth goals.
Manage and optimize day-to-day operations across multiple business units, ensuring high performance, efficiency, and scalability.
Provide strategic oversight and guidance to regional and departmental operations leaders, ensuring operational consistency and performance across all locations.
Drive operational excellence by implementing best practices, processes, and systems to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Business Management & Growth:
Collaborate with the executive team to develop long-term business plans, operational goals, and financial targets.
Monitor key business performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, providing regular reports to senior leadership.
Oversee budget planning, resource allocation, and financial management for operations departments, ensuring adherence to budgets and maximizing ROI.
Identify and evaluate opportunities for growth, innovation, and improvement within operations, using business insights and market trends.
Technology Integration & Innovation:
Leverage advanced technology solutions to streamline operations, improve productivity, and enhance the customer experience.
Lead the integration of new technologies, including automation, data analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI), into operational processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay abreast of emerging tech trends and industry innovations, recommending and implementing relevant technological upgrades.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
Establish and monitor key operational processes, ensuring the continuous improvement of workflows, systems, and service delivery.
Lead cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives, using methodologies such asAgile to drive operational excellence.
Identify and address operational challenges and bottlenecks, driving solutions that optimize performance and reduce inefficiencies.
Foster strong working relationships with other senior leaders, including IT, HR, Finance, and Marketing, to ensure effective collaboration and alignment of operational goals.
Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and third-party partners, ensuring service quality, cost control, and contract compliance.
Risk Management & Compliance:
Ensure operational activities comply with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
Oversee the development and execution of risk management plans to mitigate operational risks.
Develop and maintain operational contingency plans to address unforeseen disruptions or emergencies.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Technology, or a related field.
MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive role.
Proven experience in managing global or multi-regional operations across diverse business functions.
Strong understanding of business management principles, financial management, and operational strategy.
Extensive experience in integrating and leveraging technology to drive operational improvements, with a focus on digital transformation.
Experience with Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in operational software tools and platforms (e.g., ERP, CRM systems, project management tools).
Familiarity with emerging technologies such as automation, artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and data analytics.
Strong data analysis skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets.
Leadership & Soft Skills:
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams across functions and geographies.
Strong decision-making abilities, with a focus on data-driven solutions and innovative problem-solving.
Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successful execution in large-scale, complex projects.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, while maintaining focus on operational efficiency and quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a technology-driven industry (e.g., tech, e-commerce, fintech).
Knowledge of advanced data analytics tools and methodologies.
