We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Civil Engineer (Construction)

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary

• The Engineer (Construction) will be responsible for ensuring successful project execution, aligning with design specifications, and managing subcontractors to meet quality and time goals.
• The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of industry standards, contract management, and regulatory frameworks, gained through a combination of office and site experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of subcontractors to ensure adherence to contract terms and project specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop work schedules and assess project progress.
• Perform quality checks on project sites, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Prepare, review, and interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
• Identify potential project risks, propose mitigation strategies, and resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure all project deliverables are met within scope, time, and budget constraints.
• Liaise with external consultants, clients, and suppliers, maintaining professional relationships to enhance project outcomes.

Requirements

• HND / B.Sc Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a construction environment.
• Must be a registered member of a relevant professional body (MNSE, MNICE, or equivalent).

Abilities and Skills Required:

• Demonstrated strong work ethic and professionalism.
• Exceptional customer-facing and communication skills.
• Capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in relevant design and engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Compensation

• Salary is subject to negotiation based on experience and qualifications.
