Illaj Holdings, a diversified holding company with interests across various sectors, is expanding its workforce for two of its key subsidiaries. One of these subsidiaries is focused on ginger production, contributing significantly to the agro-allied sector with high-quality ginger products. The other subsidiary, known as Integrated Farms, specializes in farming activities, managing extensive agricultural operations to ensure sustainable and efficient food production. As the Executive Director of Finance & Investment, you will play a key role in driving the financial strategies and investments of our holding company and its subsidiaries in the diverse agricultural value chains.
You will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis, and investment decision-making processes, ensuring financial stability, and supporting the growth and profitability of the organization.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the overall business objectives of the holding company and its subsidiaries.
Lead the financial planning and budgeting processes, including forecasting, cash flow management, and risk assessment.
Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to senior management on investment opportunities, capital allocation, and potential risks.
Manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, and stakeholders to secure financing and investment partnerships.
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and presentations for management, board of directors, and external stakeholders.
Monitor and evaluate the financial performance of subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
Lead the due diligence process for potential acquisitions, joint ventures, or strategic partnerships, assessing financial viability and conducting risk assessments.
Develop and implement robust financial and investment reporting systems to provide accurate and relevant financial information to support decision-making.
Manage and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
Skills:
At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance, investment, or related fields, preferably in the agricultural industry or related sectors.
Strong knowledge of financial planning, analysis, investment evaluation, and risk management.
Experience in managing financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
Proven track record of successfully managing investments, securing financing, and negotiating financial agreements.
Familiarity with the Nigerian financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Other qualifications, certifications, professional memberships, etc:
Professional certification such as ACCA, CFA, or CPA is highly desirable.
Membership in relevant professional organizations is a plus.
