Overview

• We are hiring a Systems and Network Engineer to maintain the reliability, security, and efficiency of our data communications network.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring network infrastructure to ensure seamless and secure operations.

Responsibilities

• Configure and deploy network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and Quality of Service (QoS) configurations.
• Perform routine network maintenance and system upgrades, such as applying service packs, patches, hot fixes, and implementing security configurations.
• Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure system availability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Track system resource utilization, analyze performance trends, and execute capacity planning to support future needs.
• Provide advanced Level-2/3 support for troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues.
• Adhere to established configuration and change management protocols to maintain network stability and ensure smooth execution of changes.
• Collaborate with the security team to select, implement, and manage security tools, policies, and procedures to safeguard the network infrastructure.
• Liaise with vendors and IT personnel to resolve network-related issues and support project initiatives.
• Perform basic laptop repairs, including diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware issues.
• Replace or upgrade faulty laptop components such as hard drives, RAM, and batteries.
• Repair or replace damaged cables and connectors to ensure proper functionality.
• Ensure laptops are restored to optimal working condition through regular maintenance and part replacements as needed.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in network engineering with hands-on expertise.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols such as IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, and QoS.
• Strong understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP models.
• Practical experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, and analytics tools.
• Proficiency in firewalls, VPN implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Ability to configure and manage server hardware effectively.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery software and best practices.
• Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
