Job Title: Head - Financial Planning, Budget and Control

Job Description
We are recruiting a highly skilled and experienced head of financial planning, budget, and control to join the organization in Abuja, Nigeria.
This strategic leadership role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and control processes to drive the hospital's financial performance and support key business decisions.
Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive financial plans and budgets aligned with the hospital's strategic objectives
Direct the financial forecasting and analysis processes to provide accurate projections and insights for executive decision-making
Oversee the design and execution of robust financial control systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement
Develop and present financial reports and recommendations to the key stakeholders
Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness
Monitor and analyze key financial metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for the organization
Ensure adherence to Nigerian financial regulations and reporting standards in all financial activities
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
Professional certification such as ICAN, ACA, CPA, CFA, or CIMA
Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
Proven track record in developing and implementing strategic financial plans and budgets
Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and risk management
In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and Nigerian financial regulations
Advanced proficiency in financial software such as SAP or Oracle Financials
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Outstanding leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to drive change and implement best practices in financial planning and control
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities
