Job Title: Field Superintendent
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Line Manager: Production Manager
Role Purpose
This role will involve coordinating field staff, monitoring production processes, and ensuring that all operational activities meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
As the Field Superintendent, the role holder will serve as a key point of contact between the field operations team and the management, ensuring that production targets are met, equipment is properly maintained, and that environmental and regulatory compliance is upheld.
Accountabilities
Monitor daily production and quality control performance records, identifying inefficiencies and taking responsive and corrective actions where necessary.
Coordinate with field operators and engineers to ensure consistent production flow and troubleshoot any issues affecting production.
Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Report daily production/evacuation targets to the Line manager and all other stakeholders.
Manage delegation of production tasks to team leads and line reports and ensure proper staffing for all tasks.
Develop and implement strategies and training toward accomplishing organizational goals and values.
Preparing annual budgets and work schedules.
Always maintaining quality service in both Operations and Maintenance-related activities.
Ensuring production plans are completed in time with Zero downtime.
Lead the daily toolbox meeting and HSSE moments.
Oversee the preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, ensuring that all equipment is regularly maintained to prevent unscheduled downtimes.
Ensure spare parts inventory is well-stocked and managed effectively to minimize production interruptions
Ensuring all Process and utility equipment are functioning properly, and readily available for use.
Identifying and troubleshooting Operations/production issues.
Maintain accurate documentation of all operational activities, incidents, maintenance work, and production reports.
Prepare reports on performance and progress and present them to senior managers.
Perform verification of production output according to specifications prior to distributing reports.
Sets expectations for staff and monitors delegated activities.
Conducting first line reviews for all Flow-station (FS)personnel performance.
Coordinate, Collaborate and develop healthy working relations with other support & technical teams.
Provide leadership and guidance to field personnel, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and performance.
Professional Qualifications
A Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, preferably Civil / Structural, Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, or any related technical/operational discipline.
A minimum of 10 years of Supervisory experience in the said role in Oil and Gas industry.
Certifications in Process Safety Management (PSM), Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management, or related fields are highly desirable.
Proven track record in production optimization, asset integrity management, and HSE compliance within the oil and gas industry.
Working knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the oil and gas sector.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of oil and gas production processes, equipment, and systems, particularly within flow station environments.
Proficiency in production data analysis, equipment troubleshooting, and understanding of process flow diagrams and P&IDs.
Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools used for production monitoring and asset management
Comprehensive understanding of HSE protocols, risk assessments, and environmental regulations.
Ability to conduct safety audits, emergency response training, and incident investigation.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and execute operational strategies effectively.
Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks, including production, maintenance, safety, and compliance reporting.
