OmniPay is the embedded finance solution for OmniBiz and Mplify.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Finance Manager

Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

• The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible formaintaining thefinancial control of the day-to-day operations within Finance Services including the provision of procurement support; as well as maintaining and updating accounting procedures and delegations, preparing monthly reconciliations and assisting in the preparation of the annual financial statements.
• Reporting directly to the General Manager, Finance, the Senior Finance Officer Manager will ensurethe smooth running of Finance Department operations.
• S/He will oversee the Finance Officer, and within guided remit, in the absence of the General Manager, Finance ensure that effective methods are put in place ensuring that all employees and company processes run to maximum efficiency and to cover the finance department duties when required.

Duties

• Finance Department Management: Oversee daily operations of the finance team, ensuring smooth functioning and addressing team challenges.
• Supervision & Mentorship: Supervise and mentor the Finance Officer, ensuring their performance and development.
• Journal Entries & Adjustments: Coordinate the preparation of monthly journal summaries, ensuring necessary adjustments to accounts are made.
• General Ledger Accuracy: Review and ensure the accuracy of all entries in the general ledger, requesting corrections where necessary.
• Income & Expense Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of monthly income and expenses, providing explanations for any variances.
• Profit Analysis: Analyze gross profit for both frontend and backend operations across all locations.
• Transaction Approval & Tax Compliance: Approve daily transactions (operations, admin, suppliers) and ensure proper handling of taxes (WHT, VAT, PAYE) and timely payments.
• Month-End Closure: Ensure month-end calendar is properly closed, meeting deadlines for financial reporting.
• Management Accounts & Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts and other ad-hoc reports as required by leadership.
• ERP & Inter-Company Entries: Work with the ERP team to ensure proper management of fixed asset schedules, inter-company entries, and necessary provisions/accruals.

Job Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree in any relevant field with at least 5 years work experience.
