We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Commodity Manager

Location: Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Objectives

• Analysis: Analyse and provide feedback on trade partner service delivery and performance levels in line with key performance indicators.
• Strategy: Develop commodities trading strategies to guide positions during market trends or economic conditions.
• Managing risk: Developing strategies to reduce risk and maximize efficiency when buying commodities. And escalate trades with potential risks to trade compliance and develop rectification measures.
• Pricing: Creating and managing pricing strategies. Also, assess supply and demand factors that affect trades and valuations.
• Contracts: Drafting proposals for contract management and negotiations.
• Supplier relations: Collaborating with suppliers to improve quality and performance and developing business communication with them.
• Training: Instructing and supporting trainees on commodity sourcing
• Quality: Supervising supply quality and feedback.
• Budgeting: Helping to keep projects within budget.
• Knowledge: Sharing extensive understanding of commodities, sales, and purchases with Management.
• Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations to management periodically.

Skills
Analytical:

• Able to determine trends and changes in demand, sales and pricing of goods.
• Correctly analyzing the economic factors and needs of theorganization.
• Ensures that the S/he works to acquire the proper goods inventory to maintain operations and budgets.

Negotiation:

• Negotiating vendor contracts.

Decision-making:

• Advises and oversees purchasing decisions.
• Possessing practical decision-making skills improves the ability to implement and evaluate purchasing options and maintain proper inventories and budgets.
