Job Summary
The Project Manager will lead and coordinate civil construction projects that support agricultural development.
This role is focused on managing the planning, execution, and completion of infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet high standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency.
The Project Manager will oversee all stages of construction, coordinate resources, and communicate with clients and stakeholders to deliver projects that align with the company’s mission.
Key Responsibilites
Project Planning and Execution:
Develop detailed project plans, including scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource allocations for civil infrastructure projects.
Lead project execution from inception through completion, ensuring alignment with goals and client specifications.
Identify potential risks or delays and proactively adjust project timelines and resources as needed.
Team Leadership and Coordination:
Oversee on-site and off-site construction teams, including contractors, engineers, and other specialists, ensuring collaboration and timely project completion.
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project expectations, safety guidelines, and progress updates.
Quality Control and Compliance:
Establish and maintain high standards of quality and compliance, ensuring that all construction activities meet regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
Conduct regular inspections to verify project quality, adjusting procedures when necessary to meet quality benchmarks.
Client and Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, government representatives, and community stakeholders throughout project execution.
Provide regular progress reports, address client inquiries, and communicate any changes in project scope, timeline, or budget
Financial Oversight and Resource Management:
Monitor project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to approved financial plans.
Source, allocate, and manage resources, including materials, equipment, and labour, to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Daily Tasks Overview:
Coordinate daily activities on-site to ensure project milestones are met.
Conduct inspections to ensure project quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Hold meetings with project team members and subcontractors to review project progress and address issues.
Communicate with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns.
What to have
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
5-7+ years of experience in project management within civil construction; agricultural infrastructure experience is a plus.
Strong understanding of construction standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and construction management software.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and negotiation skills for managing contractors and engaging with clients and stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and quality standards effectively.
