Our mission is to advocate for better healthcare services, provide education and resources to expectant mothers, and support policy changes that improve maternal health outcomes. Job Title: Social Media and Campaign Officer (Hybrid)

Job Description
The Social Media and Campaign Officer will play a key role in advancing S4G's mission by managing our social media platforms.
This position will involve creating and curating engaging content, growing our online community, and driving digital campaigns that raise awareness about maternal mortality and promote our initiatives.
S/he will work closely with the Executive Director or assigned Officer to ensure our messaging aligns with S4G's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation and Curation:
Develop, schedule, and publish content across S4G's social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others as needed.
Create visually appealing graphics, videos, and infographics that convey S4G's mission and key messages.
Curate relevant content from reputable sources to share with S4G's audience, ensuring it aligns with our goals and values.
Community Engagement and Management:
Engage with S4G's online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
Foster a positive and supportive online environment by encouraging dialogue and participation among followers.
Monitor and report on social media trends, conversations, and potential risks that may impact S4G's reputation.
Campaign Development and Execution:
Assist in planning and executing social media and community-based campaigns to support S4G's initiatives, fundraising efforts, and advocacy work.
Use analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with the Programme Manager to ensure campaigns are aligned with overall communication strategies.
Brand Consistency:
Ensure all social media content is consistent with S4G's brand identity, voice, and messaging guidelines.
Regularly review and update social media profiles to reflect the latest information and branding.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Track social media performance metrics, including engagement rates, follower growth, and campaign results.
Provide monthly reports on social media activities, insights, and recommendations for improvement.
Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in social media management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Proven experience managing social media accounts for NGOs, non-profits, or similar organizations.
Demonstrated ability to create engaging content and grow social media communities.
Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Canva).
Experience in health communication, community mobilization or advocacy is an added advantage.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong graphic design and video editing skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in using social media analytics tools to track and report performance.
Knowledge of digital marketing and online fundraising strategies.
