TAAS College, Ibadan isa Co-educational institution established in the Islamic tradition at KM 15, Abeokuta Road, Amunigun Village, Bode Igbo, Ibadan. The Nursery and primary school was upgraded to the secondary school by the governing council as a result of a remarkable acceptance by the Muslim Community and within a short period of existence. The college which is enriched with stately built school premises in a serene and conducive environment with modern facilities commenced operations in 2005

Job Title: Islamic Studies Teacher

Location: Apata / Ibadan - Oyo

Job Description

• The Islamic Studies Teacher will be responsible for teaching Islamic Studies, basic Arabic, and Quranic recitation to students.
• The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, an excellent grasp of Islamic teachings, and the ability to incorporate technology into lessons.
• The role demands a commitment to relocating close to the school for better engagement and dedication to the students' educational journey.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans in Islamic Studies, including key topics on Quran, Hadith, Seerah, Fiqh, and Islamic morals.
• Teach basic Arabic language skills to students, focusing on reading and recitation of the Quran.
• Encourage students to understand and apply Islamic teachings in daily life.
• Utilize modern teaching methods and incorporate technology into lesson delivery, including educational software and online resources.
• Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and work to meet individual educational needs.
• Collaborate with other teachers to develop interdisciplinary projects and enrich the curriculum.
• Act as a role model for Islamic values and create a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies, Arabic, Education, or a related field.
• Prior experience teaching Islamic Studies, Arabic, and Quran at primary or secondary school level.
• Must be based in Ibadan or any other South-Western state in Nigeria, or willing to relocate close to the school.
• Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to teach basic Arabic and Quranic recitation to young learners.
• Tech-oriented and able to use digital tools, online resources, and multimedia for educational purposes.

Key Skills:

• Strong understanding of Islamic teachings, values, and practices.
• Excellent command of the English language; ability to communicate Islamic concepts clearly.
• Basic Arabic language skills for teaching Quranic recitation.
• Competent with technology and open to integrating digital resources in the classroom.
• Patience, empathy, and dedication to student development.

Salary
N45,000 - N60,000 monthly.
