The Data Analyst will collect, prepare, and analyze data to drive business insights and recommendations across various functions.
The ideal candidate should be skilled in data visualization, data mining, and data modeling, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our business intelligence capabilities.
This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with data analysis software, and a passion for leveraging data to optimize performance and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection & Preparation:
Collect data from internal and external sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Prepare, clean, and structure data for analysis, including performing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations.
Data Analysis & Data Mining:
Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that support business objectives.
Apply data mining techniques to extract valuable information that will drive decision-making.
Data Visualization & Reporting:
Create visually engaging dashboards and reports using data visualization tools.
Generate regular and ad-hoc reports that communicate key insights to stakeholders.
Modeling & Forecasting:
Develop predictive models to identify trends and forecast outcomes based on historical data.
Support strategic planning by creating models for demand forecasting, inventory management, and customer behavior analysis.
Documentation & System Design:
Document processes, methodologies, and insights in a structured manner.
Design and maintain data templates and systems to streamline data handling processes and improve reporting efficiency.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, marketing, operations) to understand their data needs and provide relevant insights.
Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy in data-driven recommendations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
Minimumof 2 years proven experienceas a Data Analyst, preferably in an FMCG or distribution environment.
Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Strong knowledge of data modeling, data mining, and statistical analysis techniques.
Excellent communication skills with a knack for explaining complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Skills and Competencies:
Technical: Data mining, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
Software: Proficiency with SQL, Python/R, Power BI/Tableau, and Excel.
Analytical: Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Communication: Ability to communicate data insights clearly and effectively.
