The Cinematographer will be responsible for capturing high-quality visuals that align with the creative vision of our projects. Working closely with the Creative Director and other members of the production team, the Cinematographer will play a key role in shaping the visual storytelling of our client’s projects, from corporate videos to commercials and online content.
In addition to cinematography duties, the ideal candidate should possess basic editing skills to help with post-production workflows when required.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Production & Planning:
Collaborate with the Creative Director and production team to develop the visual style, look, and feel of each project.
Scout locations and select appropriate equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and accessories.
Create shot lists, storyboards, and camera setups based on the script and production requirements.
Cinematography:
Operate cameras to capture high-quality video footage that aligns with the creative vision.
Frame, light, and compose shots to ensure proper visual storytelling, adhering to cinematic techniques and best practices.
Adjust camera settings such as exposure, focus, and composition to achieve the desired artistic effect.
Ensure continuity of shots across multiple takes and scenes.
Post-Production Support:
Perform basic video editing, including trimming, color correction, sound synchronization, and adding basic effects.
Collaborate with the post-production team to ensure the final product aligns with the project’s creative vision.
Export and deliver video files in the required formats for online and offline distribution.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure the proper maintenance and storage of cameras, lighting, and other cinematography equipment.
Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in cinematography and editing.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Studies, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience in cinematography and media production will be considered.
Experience:
2+ years of professional experience as a Cinematographer or Camera Operator in a creative, media production, or corporate environment.
Hands-on experience with different types of cameras, including DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, and professional cinema cameras.
Experience with basic video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in operating camera equipment, lenses, rigs, stabilizers, and lighting kits.
Strong understanding of shot composition, lighting techniques, and framing.
Knowledge of different camera formats, frame rates, and codecs.
Basic proficiency in post-production editing, color grading, and audio synchronization.
Soft Skills:
Creative mindset with a strong eye for detail.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to take direction and execute the visual style desired by the project’s creative lead.
